Help us improve pharmacy information sharing

Help us to improve pharmacy information sharing by completing our new survey

The Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) is inviting health and care professionals, patients and clinical system suppliers to complete a new survey on information sharing between community pharmacies and other care providers, to help deliver safer and better care in future.

The project, which is being run in collaboration with the Royal College of Physicians Health Informatics Unit and NHS Digital, is aiming to support the increased drive to help people remain healthy in the community, with the help of professionals. For this to happen, we need all health and care services to work together and share the right information between systems, so we can ensure that patients receive high quality care that is consistent at all times.

This survey will help us to determine the information that needs to be shared, inviting opinions on the following areas:

1.Vaccination information recorded in the pharmacy system
2.Vaccination information which should be communicated to the patient’s GP.

Your views are very important to us and this survey will help ensure that the project’s intended outcomes and recommendations are practical and fit for purpose. The purpose of the survey is to ensure that the right information is being shared in clinical systems in the right way, to benefit patients and clinicians.

The survey closes at 5pm, on 8th June 2018 and should take around 15 minutes to complete. If you have any questions regarding this project please contact Darren Wooldridge, Senior Project Manager, at While this survey will be closing soon, there will be a follow up consultation coming in early June, which will focus on emergency supply of medication.

If you could also circulate this among your networks/committees, we’d very much appreciate it. When sharing on Twitter / other social media, our handles are @ProfRecordSB @RCPInformatics and @NHSDigital
