Oliver Lake appointed as new Transition Chief Executive Officer for PRSB
The Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) has announced the appointment of Oliver Lake as its new Transition Chief Executive Officer. He will officially take up the role in April 2025.
As an experienced leader with a deep expertise in the health and care sector, Oliver brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong vision for PRSB’s future. He is passionate about how using technology that works for the user, and generating high-quality data should underpin transformation
Reacting to his appointment, Oliver said: “I am both honoured and excited to lead PRSB at such a pivotal time in our journey. I am dedicated to working with our members and partners to transform the use of data in health and care. We are uniquely positioned to make a lasting impact in digital health, and together, we will work to set new standards for excellence.”
Lorraine Foley, CEO of PRSB for 10 years is stepping down. Lorraine has been instrumental in shaping PRSB’s growth and success. Reflecting on her tenure, Lorraine said: “I want to thank everyone, members, partners, the amazing PRSB team and our funders and supporters for enabling such progress to be made over the past ten years. I am so proud of where we are today – with PRSB standards having such prominence across health and social care. There is still so much to do – and I look forward to seeing PRSB’s work continue drive improvement for professionals and people over the coming years”
PRSB Board Chair, Professor Reecha Sofat, added: “We are delighted that Oliver is taking over as Transition CEO of PRSB. His vision and leadership experience are exactly what we need as we embark on this new chapter. We are confident that Oliver will continue to build upon the strong legacy left by Lorraine Foley and lead PRSB to new heights of success and impact.”
About Oliver Lake
Oliver has been at PRSB for almost four years as Deputy CEO. His first role in the NHS was at aged 16 where he worked in a GP practice as it computerised. Before he joined PRSB, he worked in NHS commissioning in ICT, communications, partnerships and transformation roles including a stint at NHS England to establish the Covid Vaccination programme.
At PRSB he’s led the various programmes of standard development, and running the day-to-day operations of the organisation. He has built positive relationships with the amazing PRSB team, members, partners and stakeholders.
