PRSB exhibits at Rewired and presents the diabetes standards at the INTEROpen Hackathon

The PRSB team had the pleasure to join the UK digital health community at Rewired on 14 – 15 March in London. We had a busy couple of days speaking to our existing partners and members, and making new acquaintances from across the sector who expressed an interest in learning about the importance of information standards and adopting them to help deliver better outcomes.

On the second day of the exhibition, our CEO, Lorraine Foley, was speaking about the crucial role of shared care records and the Core Information Standard at the Sharing Patient Information – Understanding the ‘Why‘ session, where she was presenting alongside Brian Murray of Orion Health and Astrid Fairlclough of Wessex and Dorset Care Records.

Our team members also joined the INTEROPen and NHS England Hackathon at Rewired, where Charlie McCay, our non-executive Director, presented the diabetes standards, scenarios, FHIR UK core mapping, and explained how diabetes data is represented in FHIR in other countries. The main use case provided an opportunity to see how patients with diabetes would be cared for in a virtual ward.

Thank you to everyone who engaged with us at both of the events!
