More system suppliers in health and care are recognising the crucial role of data standards in enhancing communication, streamlining the handover of care, improving the accuracy of health records, and facilitating interoperability between health and care systems. Adopting standards is key to the progress in the digital evolution in health and care – to be part of this change, Nova Healthcare Solutions have joined us as a Partner. 

NovaHS supply a clinical coding support system for primary care organisations and have engaged with over 200 GP practices across England, serving 1.7 million patients. Over the years, they have identified significant variations in the quality of written communications in primary care, which pose substantial risks to patient safety. Understanding the critical need for information standards to minimise risks and ensure consistency in care delivery, the partnership with the PRSB was a natural next step for the organisation.  

Looking ahead, NovaHS intends to go through the conformance assessment for the Core Information Standard, which ensures that key information about a person’s care can be shared reliably and securely across different health and care providers.
