In September we’ll be exhibiting at Innovation EXPO in Manchester, showcasing the brand new animation we are currently developing with Understanding Patient Data, based at the Wellcome Trust.

Part of an award-winning animation series, the new short film will raise awareness of the importance of sharing health and care information for people who use services. It will highlight how PRSB is working with the NHS, social care and our members and partners to ensure information can be easily shared using digital technologies to save lives and improve care in the long-term.

We’ll also be releasing a short version of our new training tool for doctors, which explains how important it is for clinicians to complete the acute discharge summary using PRSB standards so that patients can receive the best ongoing care after they leave hospital. The video features NHS CCIO Dr Simon Eccles, Dr Tim Yates, Chief Medical Information Officer at the Royal Free Hospital and Professor Helen Stokes-Lampard, chair of the RCGP council.

In addition, we will be handing out copies of our new leaflet, and the latest version of our standards published to date will be available as a pdf online. Our team will be on hand to answer any questions you have, so please drop by our stand (51) and say hello!
