A new survey is being issued to hospital-based health and care professionals on communications during patient handover, which informs part of a research project to improve health and care. Led by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Portsmouth, the two-part Delphi survey explores staff experiences of how to assess and improve patient handovers in hospital, whether that’s during a shift change or when a patient is moved to a different ward.
