PRSB works with NHS Digital to rollout SNOMED CT
The PRSB is working with NHS Digital, as it leads the drive to establish a digital clinical language across health and social care to improve quality and safety across the system.
This will be done through the implementation of SNOMED CT as the standard for terminology used in systems, for the provision of care as well as secondary uses.
The PRSB will be supporting NHS Digital, providing the clinical and professional view on how SNOMED CT should be implemented. We will also be identifying clinical champions to help drive change, so that the benefits are realised. The PRSB recently held a webinar to seek insights and input from clinicians and professionals and is currently supporting NHS Digital in planning the next steps for this work. We will keep you informed as this work progresses.
