Social prescribing: seeking people with experience to join our online workshops
For many people, improving their health and wellbeing requires a holistic approach and support by professionals who can help them focus on what matters to them to live well. Social prescribing aims to connect people to local, non-clinical services which can offer support and link workers are key to delivering this service, through the voluntary sector or primary care networks.
Social prescribing is a relatively new part of the health and care system’s vision for personalised care and PRSB have been commissioned by NHS England and NHS improvement to develop an information standard for social prescribing. The standard will help ensure information can be shared to support care and identify people who would benefit from social prescribing, as well as help health and care services nationally to evaluate and improve social prescribing as it grows and matures.
If you have experience of social prescribing on a personal or professional level and would like to take part in one of our online workshops on social prescribing, please get in touch with us at info@theprsb.org. We’d love to hear from you.
