Ben McAlister is Chair of HL7 UK’s Management Board and a Senior Solution Strategist at Cerner responsible for its interoperability strategy in Europe. He is also an Associate Vice Chair of Standards for the British Computer Society (BCS) Health and Care Group, BCS representative on the British Standards Institute IST/35 Health Informatics Committee, a vendor representative on the INTEROPen Board and a member of the IHE UK Steering Committee.
Before joining Cerner Ben was as a Service Development Manager for Planning and Commissioning and an Information Manager at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Ben studied medicine at Manchester University and health informatics at University College London.
