THE QUALITY PARTNERSHIP SCHEME
“Adherence to standards has to be the way forward to enable
interoperability. We want to make sure we are at the forefront
What is the scheme?
The PRSB Quality Partnership Scheme connects the PRSB with digital system software suppliers. Bringing us together with the aim of developing, adopting and implementing PRSB standards for health and care. The Scheme provides the foundations for interoperability, allowing health and care records to be accessed by the right people, in the right place, at the right time.
The Quality Partnership Scheme has two levels of affiliation – Partner and Quality Partner. Quality Partners have all the benefits of Partners but also go through an assessment process to demonstrate a good level of conformance with one or more of our standards. This enables them to use the PRSB’s Quality mark in their communications, showing their commitment to delivering systems which comply with the standards they’ve been assessed against.
The conformance process
PRSB assesses a supplier’s conformance with an identified standard and the organisation’s practices associated with standards.
We assess conformance using self-assessment by the supplier who provides evidence of the way the standard works. This is then reviewed and assessed by a team of expert assessors and validated by a PRSB expert. The expert will also runs test cases through the supplier’s system to provide direct evidence in a sandbox environment.
The supplier is informed of the result of the assessment through two reports – the Quality Report and the Verified Conformance Report. The Quality Report details areas of strength, identifies any gaps in conformance and areas for improvement. The report is confidential for the supplier to utilise and share as appropriate.
Why join us as a PRSB Partner?
Becoming a partner of PRSB recognises digital system software suppliers who are committed to best practice and convergence with user led standards for better care. This means our Partners send a strong signal to customers and investors that they understand the importance of the drive for standard information flows, and ultimately interoperability.
Interoperability is the driving force that dominates and responds to the strategies of UK bodies leading in digital health and social care to transform services by using technology in the safest, most efficient and effective way.
OUR NETWORK OF EXPERTS, PROFESSIONALS AND CITIZENS
Our community links us to more than 2.5 million front-line professionals and groups who represent the public, and our Partners become part of that network.
