System C & Graphnet Care Alliance joins PRSB Standards Partnership Scheme
The Alliance brings together five of the UK’s most innovative and experienced health and care IT providers to create integrated solutions for the health and social care market.
The Standards Partnership Scheme connects the PRSB with digital system software suppliers to support them to develop, adopt and implement PRSB record standards within their products for health and social care. The scheme improves care by providing the foundations for system interoperability, allowing health and care records to be accessed by the right people, in the right place, at the right time.
The Care Alliance decided to quickly follow suit after seeing Graphnet form a strong relationship with the PRSB and make good progress on standards development for shared care records and population health. The Alliance is keen to extend this work to support the implementation of standards across its integrated IT solutions for social care and education management, electronic patient records, medicines management, and remote monitoring
As with Graphnet, the other suppliers within the Care Alliance intend to complete the conformance assessment process against one or more of the PRSB’s standards, to demonstrate their commitment to standards implementation, evidenced by use of the Standards Partnership Scheme Quality Mark.
Lorraine Foley, CEO of the PRSB, said: “With Graphnet having joined the Standards Partnership Scheme only at the turn of the year, it’s incredibly gratifying to welcome aboard the full complement of Care Alliance organisations so soon thereafter. It provides us with validation that the programme is delivering significant value to our partners and proving impactful in the drive for interoperability across the sector. Everyone at PRSB is excited by the prospect of driving forward the conformance assessment process for all five organisations, as we look to help the Care Alliance continue along the path of delivering integrated care.”
Nick Wilson, Chief Executive at System C commented, “In my new role as CEO, I’m delighted we have joined the PRSB Standards Partnership Scheme and extended our commitment to cover the entire System C & Graphnet Care Alliance. The Care Alliance and PRSB share an overarching goal to integrate information and make it consistent across multiple settings in order to better support health and social care professionals in delivering excellent patient care and services.
“A movement towards interoperability, better information and safer care is perfectly aligned with the Government’s plans to join up health and social care across Integrated Care Systems and we are looking forward to supporting our customers as they work towards this important goal.”
