Child health events - get involved in our consultation
The PRSB is working in partnership with NHS Digital to help implement NHS England’s digital child health strategy.
Children's services are currently provided by a number of different professions and organisations using different IT systems, which do not speak to each other. Some parents and carers have access to a digital child health record via an e-red book, but this is not linked to NHS and GP systems. NHS England's strategy aims to improve interoperability between health and care IT systems to enable more integrated services, which better support children and their families.
The strategy includes plans to provide online access to parents, carers and young people to enable them to contribute their goals, manage information sharing and access the records kept by health and care organisations. Health and care professionals will have access to the complete record integrated into their systems and up to date population data will be available for public health analysis. Key to achieving these strategic aims is the electronic sharing of child health events.
Get involved - workshop consultations
This project will have three workshops, the first one is scheduled for April, with the others following in May and June 2017.
