The PRSB and INTEROPen extends partnership

The PRSB is also working closely with INTEROPen to provide a view on professional and patient priorities

The inaugural meeting was held in London, to outline the mission, vision and terms of reference agreed by the parties involved. INTEROPen is working closely with NHS England, which is conducting a strategic needs assessment for organisations looking to progress interoperability. The PRSB is also working closely with INTEROPen – providing a view on professional and patient priorities as agreed with its member organisations. (The PRSB priorities will also feed into the NHS England work on assessing strategic needs for interoperability.)

As part of its work to advance interoperability, INTEROPen is planning to select a topic area, for example ambulance handover, to champion and see through to implementation.

Moving forward, the PRSB will be working more closely in partnership with INTEROpen, to engage our existing audiences and raise awareness about the importance of standards and interoperability in health and social care. We will be a regular contributor to the INTEROPen newsletter and other communication initiatives. For more information visit www.interopen.org or follow on Twitter @INTEROPenAPI.
