BMJ on improving care through better clinical records
PRSB clinical advisors launch BMJ discussion on capturing point of care patient data in a standardised way to improve care.
The importance of clinicians capturing point of care patient data in a standardised way in order to support and improve care quality, service development, research and audit is discussed in an editorial by Advisory Board member Dr Andy Spencer and published by the British Medical Journal. Dr Phil Kozcan, clinical advisor to the PRSB, comments on the role of the PRSB in driving the development and assurance of clinical record standards and the importance of wider clinical and professional leadership in adopting and implementing these standards.
